It had to be cynical in order to put the corporate strategies in proper perspective. I've just started learning Flex and I was a bit alarmed by the implications of the "no-flash-support on the iPad strategy" by Apple, but after reading this I'll certainly keep on learning Flex. Flash won't just disappear overnight, especially with adobe releasing the Flash platform and thereby digging its heels in with the support of the masses.
