Someday I'll get around to posting all the Chalkboards that keep coming in - Draw your own here. In the meantime I was going through some of the recent submissions and one stuck out, visit their site [www.oddball-studios.co.uk] it's freaking awesome! They've also got artwork and cartoons which you have to see. I asked Peter to tell me a bit about what they do and why. They also sent some artwork to put up and embedded below is "Flies on a Wall".

Oddball Studios was established by Sam and Peter Foster in May 2008. The ambition to bring things to life has always been something we like to do. We were heavily influenced by 90's cartoons such a Ren and Stimpy, Cow and chicken, Dexter's Lab etc. It seems cartoons these days have gone to a more "PC" side, whereas our cartoons tend to steer to the other direction.

Since our early workings like "Coffee cake" and "Frank Furter" our ambition has changed to create something with more thought, character building and some relation to people. Thus our latest creation "Flies on a Wall" was created, giving more personality into the individuality of the characters even though they are the same species of fly.

Our latest project has gone a step further "Wake up Larry" which is currently in development. We will release more information on the feature soon, along with concept art.

I drew this the other day while waiting for someone. Grabbed a photo of it with my phone since I wasn't keeping it.

On Chalk It Out we have this drawing board. Visitors can submit their ChalkBoards, all of which we put here. Every now and then someone submits a ChalkBoard that really catches our eye, we put those in the Chalk It Out gallery as well and try to contact them so we can do an artist spotlight. I emailed Jaume Fulgueira the other day after putting up his submission and he shared his story and some of his art.

I'm from Barcelona, Spain. I was born in 1980. I've been drawing people, monsters, robots, and other things since I was 3. I attended drawing and comic classes but with the years I'd rather spend my time with the computer or playing guitar than drawing. I studied Multimedia Engineering and Computer Technology in La Salle School in Barcelona, where I learned to use 3d Studio. Now currently I'm working as J2EE programmer. I never had the opportunity to use my artistic abilities at work, but I think perhaps it's better, since I prefer to keep them for my personal enjoyment. This is another old sketch, looking at the metadata I didn't realize how long ago it was, but it's from Dec 07.  I went looking on Deviant Art for some inspiration and decided to try "duplicating" a photo by sight. In hindsight I probably could have spent more time on it. In hindsight I probably should have devoted more time over the last 400 days to drawing in general. I had to do a background thing for twitter. One thing lead to another and now I have a Ninja Square... I'm not entirely sure what it means, but looking at it I get the impression the rope is important. I should pay more attention when I screw around in illustrator so I don't confuse myself.. oh wells.

Thought I'd upload a sketch I did a while ago, I was learning how to draw a dog.. this is the closest I got.

I've just done something completely, utterly stupid.. but it's not the type of thing for the internet so I'm commemorating the event with an image and song(not mine).
